World Environmental Health Day Every year, World Environmental Health Day is celebrated on September 26. This year, World Environmental Health Day falls on Tuesday. Date     : 26-09-2023 Venue : Seminary Hall, St Peter's Training College, Kolenchery  World Environmental Health Day celebrations was conducted on september 26,2023. The programme was conducted by students from Natural science department. The programme started with introduction on Environmental health Day and its importance. Later on a quiz competition  and poster designing competitions were conducted. Prize was distributed to best quizzer and best poster by the Principal. The programme was concluded with presenting a doccumentation on one of the environmental issues- Air pollution. This program gave insight about environmental health and it's importance. NADAKAKALARI

NADAKAKALARI Date                                   ; 20/09/2023 Venue                              ; St  peter's training college Kolenchery , Seminar Hall Resource person             ;  Abhi Prakash Objective; Nadakam aims to preserve the traditional artform ensuring that its unique techniques, stories and cultural significance. Nadakakalari was held on 28th September 2023 at St peters training college Kolenchery, Seminar Hall, It started at 10 AM. Sir gave us a class about different aspects of drams. After that the students were divided into 5 groups and were asked to present a play on a topic. Sir gave 20 minutes for the preparation, and the session was very interesting.

Ozone Day

 OZONE DAY Date               : 16-09-2023 & 20-09-2023 Venue             : Seminar hall, St. Peter's Training College, Kolenchery World Ozone Day , observed every year on September 16, is also known as the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer. The date was designated by the United Nations General Assembly in 1994, commemorating the date in 1987 when nations signed the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer. The need to declare an action to preserve the ozone layer came as a result of the outset of its depletion. In 2017, 30 years after the Montreal Protocol, the closure of the hole in the ozone layer was observed and the effects of this have been projected to last up to 100 years. Ozone day celebrations was conducted on September 16th 2023, at 10.30 am. The program charge was held by Physical Science department. Yoga Class

 YOGA DAY The word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root  yuj , meaning “to yoke,” or “to unite”. The practice aims to create union between body, mind and spirit, as well as between the individual self and universal consciousness. Such a union tends to neutralize ego-driven thoughts and behaviours, creating a sense of spiritual awakening. Date               : 14-09-2023 Venue             : St Peter's College, Kolenchery Objective     : To learn about various yoga postures Resource person : Ms Keerthi A training workshop on yoga was conducted on 14th September 2023 at the college Seminar Hall. The session started at 10.00 am where the resource person Ms. Keerthi introduced the history of yoga and its importance. She gave a demonstration of various asanas, pranayamas and meditation.  TEACHER'S DAY Date: 05-09-2023 Venue : Seminar Hall,St Peter’s Bed Training College,Kolenchery. Resource person : Dr.Mary Matilda,former Principal,Maharajas College,Ernakulam Objective: To express gratitude towards teachers and to get insights about the art of teaching. Teacher’s Day Celebrations were held on September 5th 2023,at 10.30am.The official function was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr.Mary Matilda,former Principal, Maharajas College,Ernakulam. The welcome speech was delivered by PT Selen, Physical Education teacher,St Peters Bed training College.The function was presided over by Dr.Raji K Paul,Principal, St Peters BEd Training College,Kolenchery.This was followed by a session on teaching and its methodologies by Dr.Mary Matilda.The session was rather informative and enriching. Anuranjana,1st year BEd student delivered the vote of thanks.
