Destination : Goa

 The study tour organized by 20224 batch St Peter's training college college students' practical knowledge and experience in there chosen field of study specifically for future educators. With Goa as the chosen destination, the tour provided exposure to different educational systems, cultural experiences, and teaching methodologies, Under the guidance of the Principal Dr. Raji K Paul and coordinators. Meetings were held to finalize logistics with the travel agency Kites Holidays and the tour dates were set for Jan 7th to 12th, 2024. A disciplinary committee was formed to ensure smooth conduct during the tour.

The journey commenced from Ernakulam South Railway Station, aboard the Dhurantho Express at 9.30pm. In Goa we visited places like Ginquis Fort, Calangute beach, Chapora Fort, Anjuna beach and Baga beach. On the last day we visited and explored South Goa. Panjim market, iconic Bom Basilica where the main attraction of South Goa. The tour ended with a spontaneous visit to Colva beach.

The study tour-Goa provided invaluable practical insights like cultural experiences and organizational skills for future educators. It fostered framework, communication and adaptability among students, while offering a unique learning opportunity outside the classroom. Overall the tour enhanced the uderstanding and preparedness of B.Ed. trainees for their future roles as educators.

Placement Drive  Date               :  Venue           : St. Peter's Training College, Kolenchery  The HR Connect Placement Drive was conducted at St. Peter's Training College, Kolenchery on          .The resource person was Mr. Ragesh G, Founder School Connect HR. It was conducted for the senior students and was a pivotal initiative aimed at bridging the gap between vocation and training. Through meticulous planning and execution the placement drive provided students with invaluable opportunities for internships.

 YOGA DAY The word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root  yuj , meaning “to yoke,” or “to unite”. The practice aims to create union between body, mind and spirit, as well as between the individual self and universal consciousness. Such a union tends to neutralize ego-driven thoughts and behaviours, creating a sense of spiritual awakening. Date               : 14-09-2023 Venue             : St Peter's College, Kolenchery Objective     : To learn about various yoga postures Resource person : Ms Keerthi A training workshop on yoga was conducted on 14th September 2023 at the college Seminar Hall. The session started at 10.00 am where the resource person Ms. Keerthi introduced the history of yoga and its importance. She gave a demonstration of various asanas, pranayamas and meditation.
