On 13th March 2024, St. Peter's Training College, Kolenchery, organized a successful rally in Kolenchery town to commemorate 'No Smoke Day'. Led by enthusiastic participants, including students, faculty and community members the rally traversed through the town, distributing notices that highlighted the harmful effects of smoking. The event was inaugurated by Sangeetha Shine, the ward member, whose presence added significance to the cause. A documentary presentation followed the rally offering valuable insights into the adverse effects of smoking. Through these activities, the event effectively raised awareness about the importance of creating smoke free environments and encouraged individuals to make informed choices for their health and well-being.

  National Policy on Education (NPE) 1986 and its 1992 modification : The main objective of the National Policy on Education 1986 was to promote universal access, equity, and quality in education across all levels. It was introduced under the leadership of Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi . One of the major schemes launched through this policy was Operation Blackboard , aimed at improving infrastructure and teaching materials in primary schools.
