World Consumer Rights Day and National Pi Day World Consumer Rights Day and National Pi Day were celebrated with enthusiasm on March 14, 2024, at St. Peter’s College, Kolenchery. The collaborative efforts of the Commerce Department and the Mathematics Department made the event possible. It began with an engaging welcome speech by Anuranjana Andrews, setting the tone for the day’s activities, followed by an inspiring presidential address by Dr. Raji K Paul. The highlight of the event was the inaugural address delivered by our esteemed chief guest, Dr. Gigi Alias, Associate Professor and Head of the Economics Department at St. Peter’s College, Kolenchery, focusing on the significance of consumer rights and the mathematical marvels of Pi Day. Alfeena Abu extended the vote of thanks. Following the official program, students from the Commerce Department took the stage to deliver insightful talks on consumer rights, fostering awareness among the attendees. Concurrently, the Mathematics Department orchestrated a series of engaging activities to celebrate Pi Day, showcasing the beauty of mathematical concepts in a fun and interactive manner. The meticulous planning and execution by the Mathematics Department ensured that Pi Day was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present. As the event drew to a close, the harmonious notes of the national anthem reverberated across the campus, symbolizing unity and pride in our collective endeavors.
