ONAM CELEBRATIONS 2023

Venue: Seminar Hall, St. Peter’s Training College. 
Objective: to celebrate the spirit of Onam.

Onam celebration of the students of St. Peter’s training college was conducted on 23rd of August 2023.There was a title competition in which all the current batches of the college were able to participate and suggest names for the Onam event. The name “Upperi” was selected unanimously and thus the Onam celebration was named Upperi 2K23. Dignitaries from Management Trust were present in the celebrations. 

Various indoor and outdoor games added color to the day. A “Pookkalam” was set in the theme of Kerala. Competitions like “ Sreeman Shreemati”, Sundarikku Pottukuthal, Bun Game, Lemon and spoon race, filling water in the bottle and kasera kali were organized. An Onam Sadya was also arranged by the students. A group song and group dance were conducted by the second year students of the college. The day witnessed the vibe and energy of the students.

Placement Drive  Date               :  Venue           : St. Peter's Training College, Kolenchery  The HR Connect Placement Drive was conducted at St. Peter's Training College, Kolenchery on          .The resource person was Mr. Ragesh G, Founder School Connect HR. It was conducted for the senior students and was a pivotal initiative aimed at bridging the gap between vocation and training. Through meticulous planning and execution the placement drive provided students with invaluable opportunities for internships.

 YOGA DAY The word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root  yuj , meaning “to yoke,” or “to unite”. The practice aims to create union between body, mind and spirit, as well as between the individual self and universal consciousness. Such a union tends to neutralize ego-driven thoughts and behaviours, creating a sense of spiritual awakening. Date               : 14-09-2023 Venue             : St Peter's College, Kolenchery Objective     : To learn about various yoga postures Resource person : Ms Keerthi A training workshop on yoga was conducted on 14th September 2023 at the college Seminar Hall. The session started at 10.00 am where the resource person Ms. Keerthi introduced the history of yoga and its importance. She gave a demonstration of various asanas, pranayamas and meditation.
